Welcome to GigPigeon! These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the GigPigeon mobile application and services. You must agree to these terms to create an account, and by creating an account or using GigPigeon you agree to be bound by them.
1. User Accounts
Authentication: You can create and access your account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
Usernames: You must select a respectful username. We reserve the right to reclaim, change, or remove usernames that infringe on trademarks, impersonate others, or are offensive.
2. User-Generated Content & Conduct
Content Ownership: You retain ownership of any ratings, reviews, comments, setlists, notes, or photos you post on GigPigeon. By uploading content, you grant GigPigeon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and format your content within the app to provide our services.
Zero Tolerance: GigPigeon has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable, including in your username, profile photo, reviews, comments, notes and photos, and not to harass, bully, impersonate, spam or abuse other users. You also agree not to scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to compromise the app infrastructure.
Reporting & Blocking: You can report any show check-in, including its review and photos, any comment, and any user's username or profile picture, that you believe breaks these terms. You can also block any user, so that you no longer see their check-ins and they can no longer interact with you. When you report a check-in or a comment it is removed from public view straight away, until it has been reviewed.
Moderation: We review reports within 24 hours and remove content that breaks these terms; if a report is not upheld, the content is reinstated. Users who repeatedly post objectionable content, or who post content that is illegal under UK law, may have their accounts removed. We may also review, remove, or edit content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these terms without a report having been made. We encourage reporting issues and have a non-retaliation policy for reporting, with the exception of malicious abuse of the reporting system, which can result in removal of your account.
3. Third-Party Data & Attribution
GigPigeon uses metadata sourced from third-party databases, including MusicBrainz (operated by MetaBrainz Foundation), to display artist, band, and release information.
We do not claim ownership of third-party artist metadata.
Artist and band details provided by external databases are offered "as is" for informational purposes, and we make no guarantees regarding their completeness or accuracy.
4. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Event & Location Accuracy: Show information, line-ups, venue details, and recommendations are provided for general informational purposes. GigPigeon does not guarantee event accuracy, venue availability, or ticket information.
Service Availability: GigPigeon is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, GigPigeon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app.
5. Account Termination
You may stop using GigPigeon and delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we make a significant change we will ask you to agree to the updated terms in the app before you carry on using it. For other changes, continued use of GigPigeon after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
