Welcome to GigPigeon! These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the GigPigeon mobile application and services. By creating an account or using GigPigeon, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. User Accounts & Google Authentication
Authentication: Accounts are created and accessed exclusively via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
Usernames: You must select a respectful username. We reserve the right to reclaim, change, or remove usernames that infringe on trademarks, impersonate others, or are offensive.
2. User-Generated Content & Conduct
Content Ownership: You retain ownership of any ratings, reviews, setlists, notes, or photos you post on GigPigeon. By uploading content, you grant GigPigeon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and format your content within the app to provide our services.
Acceptable Use: You agree not to post content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, harassing, or hateful. You also agree not to scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to compromise the app infrastructure.
Moderation: We reserve the right to review, remove, or edit content, as well as suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may submit a report of any show checkins which you believe violates these terms. When you do, the checkin will be removed from public visibility until it has been reviewed. Once reviewed, it may be removed if upheld or reinstated if not. We encourage reporting issues and have a non-retaliation policy for reporting, with the exception of malicious abuse of the reporting system, which can result in removal of your account.
3. Third-Party Data & Attribution
GigPigeon uses metadata sourced from third-party databases, including MusicBrainz (operated by MetaBrainz Foundation), to display artist, band, and release information.
We do not claim ownership of third-party artist metadata.
Artist and band details provided by external databases are offered "as is" for informational purposes, and we make no guarantees regarding their completeness or accuracy.
4. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Event & Location Accuracy: Show information, line-ups, venue details, and recommendations are provided for general informational purposes. GigPigeon does not guarantee event accuracy, venue availability, or ticket information.
Service Availability: GigPigeon is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, GigPigeon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app.
5. Account Termination
You may stop using GigPigeon and delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of GigPigeon after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
